We created our skill levels according to the techniques required to sew each pattern, but our patterns will teach you everything so don't be afraid to sew above your skill level!

Beginner

Beginner sewing patterns teach the most foundational sewing techniques. These patterns focus on the basics like sewing and finishing straight and curved seams, hemming, and simple shaping methods such as darts and gathers. In addition, beginner patterns omit closures, making them perfect if you are new to sewing or are looking for a quick and easy make.

Advanced Beginner

Advanced Beginner sewing patterns expand on the skills learned at the beginner level, helping you to build confidence and range as a sewer. You'll find simple knitwear projects, bias tape finishing techniques, and begin to explore closures at this skill level.

Intermediate

Intermediate level sewing patterns focus on more precision sewing. In this skill level, you'll learn specialty closures. Intermediate patterns also introduce the skills needed for simple lingerie and athletic wear projects.

Advanced

Advanced sewing patterns require great precision and time investment. You'll find tailored pieces in this category with elevated details like bound buttonholes and welt pockets.

    The peter pan collared blouse sewing pattern

    Meet Romie, a pullover woven blouse featuring a charming Peter Pan collar. It has a semi-fitted design with bust darts for additional shaping. The neckline has a distinctive notch with a center front seam and ties. The sleeves are adorned with gathers at the top and a hem band at the bottom. The hem hits right below your high hip, so you can easily tuck it in if you'd like.

    Light to medium weight woven fabrics such as cotton lawn, cotton voile, cotton gauze, chambray, Swiss dot, linen, rayon challis, rayon crepe, and silk.

    All-purpose polyester sewing thread, sewing machine needle, and lightweight fusible interfacing.

    Refer to size chart for amount of fabric needed for your size.

  • Sizing & Fit

    Janiah wears a size 2 graded to a 6 at the hip. Her measurements are 32 1/2" (82.5 cm), 26 3/4" (68 cm), 38" (96.5 cm) and she is 5'7" (170cm).

    Laurel wears a size 14 reduced by 1" at the waist and hips and reduced by 1/2" at the sleeve cuff. Her measurements are 40.75" (103.5 cm), 33.25"" (84.5 cm), 45.5" (115.5 cm) and she is 5'9" (179cm)

    Our Misses patterns are drafted for a C cup and our Curvy patterns are drafted for DD. Both are drafted for a height of 5'8" (172 cm).
