Beginner

Beginner sewing patterns teach the most foundational sewing techniques. Intermediate level sewing patterns focus on more precision sewing. In this skill level, you'll learn specialty closures. Intermediate patterns also introduce the skills needed for simple lingerie and athletic wear projects.

Advanced

    Medium to heavy weight woven fabrics such as canvas, denim, twill, duck cloth, corduroy, suitings, linen blends, and satin.

    Medium to heavyweight ribbing that is at least 5 1/4" (13.5 cm) wide with 50% stretch. Look for ribbing with spandex or lycra for best recovery.

    Light to medium weight lining fabrics such as cotton sateen, cotton flannel, silk habotai, rayon bemberg, acetate lining, or polyester lining.

    All-purpose polyester sewing thread, sewing machine needle, regular zipper foot, point turner, 3/4 yards (.7 meters) of lightweight fusible interfacing, and one separating zipper 22" (56 cm) for sizes 00 - 16 or 24" (61 cm) for sizes 12 - 26.

    Refer to size chart for amount of fabric needed for your size.
