Beginner

Beginner sewing patterns teach the most foundational sewing techniques. In addition, beginner patterns omit closures, making them perfect if you are new to sewing or are looking for a quick and easy make.

Advanced Beginner

Advanced Beginner sewing patterns expand on the skills learned at the beginner level, helping you to build confidence and range as a sewer. You'll find simple knitwear projects, bias tape finishing techniques, and begin to explore closures at this skill level.

Intermediate

Intermediate level sewing patterns focus on more precision sewing. In this skill level, you'll learn specialty closures. Intermediate patterns also introduce the skills needed for simple lingerie and athletic wear projects.

Advanced

Advanced sewing patterns require great precision and time investment. You'll find tailored pieces in this category with elevated details like bound buttonholes and welt pockets.

    Sewing your own lingerie is so empowering, and our instructions will walk you through each step. The Robin bralette is a fitted soft bra with princess seams. It’s self-lined with adjustable straps, a hook and eye closure at the center back, and a comfortable picot elastic finish at the neckline, armholes, and bottom band.

  • Fabric & Supplies

    Light to medium weight knits with four-way stretch with 50% stretch and good recovery, such as cotton jersey, bamboo/soy jersey blends, double brushed polyester knit, mesh, and rib knit, mesh, stretch lace, and rib knit.

    All-purpose polyester sewing thread, Ballpoint sewing machine needle, Four 1/2" (13 mm) rings and two sliders, 1 1/2 yards (1.4 meters) 1/2" (13 mm) wide bra strapping, 1 1/2 yards (1.4 meters) 3/8" (10 mm) picot elastic, 1 yard (.9 meters) of 3/4" picot elastic (20 mm) (sizes 00-16) or 1" (2.5 cm) picot elastic (sizes 12-26), One hook and eye bra closure. Sizes 00-16: 3 hook closure finishing at 2 1/4" (5.7 cm). Sizes 12-26: 4 hook closure finishing at 3" (10.2 cm).

  • Sizing & Fit

    Solana is wearing a size 14 Robin bralette reduced by 1” at the bust (along the curve of the princess seam) and increased by 1” at the underbust (added to the side seam at the bottom edge of the bra). Her full bust measures 41”, and her underbust measures 37”.

    Our Misses patterns are drafted for a C cup and our Curvy patterns are drafted for DD. Both are drafted for a height of 5'8" (172 cm).
