Fabric recommendations: This robe sews up best in lightweight to medium-weight woven fabrics such as linen, flannel, double gauze, terry, waffle, lawn, voile, rayon challis, silk, rayon crepe, or silk georgette.

It’s soft, textured, and can absorb some moisture if you are straight out of the shower. If you can only find a knit waffle fabric, it should still work, as it’s typically not too stretchy.
